Stu and Pete's Donut Drift Battle

This is the sort of stuff Pete and I get up to on the weekends! I'm in the cefiro and Pete is in the 'BORO' FC in Ebisu North course pits!! Haha.... No we're not professionals but we think we might try out for next years BIG X event as stunt drift drivers..or maybe we'll just let 'waku waku' san do that.

Sugo Super Lap

Although there wasn't a lot of drifting, there were sweet cars everywhere and enough action to keep me buzzing all day.
Yesterday I was off to Sugo to watch my friend race! First time to Sugo and was very impressed with the A class curcuit. It makes Ebisu look like a backyard job!! No offence. Ebisu still rocks! My friend is Kanazawa san. He owns a garage right near my house here in Nihonmatsu called 'RGF'. He specializes in GTR's and yep, you guessed it, he races a red R34 GTR!!Nice car ey?!!
He was the second fastest racer on the day. He would have been the fastest but his 'Full Tune' 800hp RB26 blew up during the week at a practice session:(But his mechanics worked hard and built him a slightly tuned RB26 with around 680hp. Plus it was wet. I wouldn't complain with either engine though!

2006 D1 Series Round 6 Ebisu South

The 6th round of D1, the Professional Drift
League in Japan, took place at Ebisu curcuit
on the 26th and 27th of August 2006. I was
there with my fellow drift team mates...
Pete and that other guy.
And it was rocking!!

We went just for the finals which was the Sunday. The owner of Ebisu curcuit (and also my mate), Kumakubo san in his Team Orange GDB rear-wheel drive Subaru Impreza qualified first on the Saturday and and battled it out against the famous R34 Blitz Skyline driver Nomuken (not my mate..yet) in the finals to walk away with the trophy!
Yay..I bet with my mates he would win! And it was extra special for Kumakubo beacuase that was the first time he had won a D1 round at Ebisu...(his own track!..well for a while)

Waku Waku San...drives a blue (formerly green) s15 Silvia..I think he's second on the leader board now.

Welcome to Drift in Japan

Welcome everyone! I'm Stu and I live in Japan. I started drifting about a year and a bit ago. If you've heard of Ebisu circuit, well, that's whewre we go. I first had a Silvia Q's which I bought for $500 but saved up for a turbo Cefiro with all the right drift bits. Now my mates drift too!
My mate Pete (Aussie) has a FC RX7 and my sort of mate Sami (Canadian) bought my crappy Silvia. We all go to Ebisu about once a month so we're all getting better (except for Sami) HAHAHA!!!!..... Anyway, I've got some good stories and will upload pics and movies regularly!!
Keep posted for news and updates on drifting in Japan. Cheers Stu!!
P.S. This is me (not Sami) in my Silvia about 2 months after I started drifting..who says NA's have no power!!
